              Young Athlete Program!!

Our Young Athletes program is in hiatus while we wait for more participants and volunteers. We hope to return in 2024 and expect to meet at the Variety Club.  The Club is located at 2950 Potshop Rd, Worcester, PA

Open to kids from toddlers (2.5) to age 7, the Young Athletes program is designed to help your child reach their physical milestones while preparing for more advanced challenges.  Join a group that will help your kids learn new skills and develop friendships along the way! 

Want to start? First, inform us at specialolympicsmontco@verizon.net by providing the parent/guardian and Young Athlete name. Then complete the two steps below. If you have questions, email specialolympicsmontco@verizon.net.

If you stay with your own child,  parents do not need to complete  one-time Special Olympics Pennsylvania background checks (known as Class A volunteers) prior to attending a session. However, other volunteers with no child in the program must complete the clearances. The clearances must be done within the SOPA clearance portal ( no third party emailed credentials from other organizations are accepted).   Follow the link to instructions and the online clearance links: https://specialolympicspa.org/become-a-volunteer  If you need assistance, contact classAsupport@specialolympicspa.org for help.

Here is session curriculum follow for each week's session. We anticipate that any Fall 2024 season will be eight weeks long. Parents will determine if there is a winter or spring season .
